Wells Fargo has, or had a few years ago, a car leasing company. I tried to buy a used car from the guy who had leased it. W F wanted top retail book value for the car. Also, the guy with the lease had to pay all the lease payments(lease was up in a month or two) plus an extra months lease payment at the end of the lease period. Then they told the guy they couldn't sell him the car because they did not have a dealer's license in SC. SC dealer regulations stink BTW. Another complication was that the guy's ex had her name one the lease. I decided that they were still making cars and I didn't need that one. Never could make car leasing pencil out for me anyway.
