So you have a 14 year old truck that you rarely use. KBB says it"s worth 4 grand. You say to make it nice again would take another 4 grand. Then you end up with a truck worth 8 grand....to you, but worth 4 grand to anyone else. Sounds as if you answered your own question, but just need confirmation. Do the truck a favor, let her go to a new home. Just don"t get unrealistic when setting a price, be negotiable. KBB as well as NADA is a good place to get a taste of what a vehicle is worth, but face it....they will only bring what someone is willing to give for them. What is the market out there for 14 year old faithful trucks? Probably not too much. Pat it on the back bumper as it drives out the front gate, and be sure and thank it for being so faithful all these years as you wave goodbye.
