flat tire compensation(kinda long)

ok when i bought my to-20 the front tires were goners new tires and rims a little after one back tire left me so i bit the bullet and bought a new one, the other is fine so i didnt replace it. today i was working on the new cattle fence and had it parked off to the side of the acess road well out of the way for me to get the jd 500c back hoe through. when my step father decied to come down on the ford 5030 with the york rake on to see how i was doing and fix up the road a little as he was driving by my fergie the york rake catches my rear tire, yes the new one ripping a good hole in it now my step dad says its not his fault and he shouldnt have to pay for a new tire or even getting this one repaired what would yall do? oh yea and my bank account says i dont have enough for half a new tire right now
