I lived in Kearney, Nebraska for 9 months and loved it. Have taken 3 vacations in Nebraska, one was on my honeymoon. It is a very beautiful state and a land of contrasts in colors and lay of the land. Some of my favorite areas/things/places I went to and remember are: canoeing the Niobrara river and standing under the 90 foot waterfall of Smith Falls, watching Sandhill Cranes on the Platte around Gibbon, camping on Lake McCanahay, hiking along Windlass hill and Chimney rock and Jailhouse rock. Buffalo national grasslands, the Sandhills, Pioneer Village, the Great Platte River Road exhibit at Kearney and the great wide open land. Wonder if I can get the wife talked into going out there again...... Wil
