Equipment lasts much better sitting out in a dry climate than in a wet one, obviously.

That's why the military boneyards are out in the desert, practically no moisture related wear out there ( except for lack of moisture ).

I would hate to leave tractors out here in Missouri, but in the dry states, they get so little rain, the sun will be the only thing that hits them, and that will just fade the paint a bit....totally different climate.
