Gearing and weighting make a big difference. A 10 hp Farmall Cub will mow a ton too.

But really have no experience or knowledge of a Yanmar weighting, gearing, etc.. I did have a JD 855 at one time and had a 48" finish mower on it, the Yanmar diesel in it had no problems.
