I have been looking for an inexpensive backhoe to use on the farm for small projects. Wife's grandpa told me yesterday he is selling his. He said it was a 3500 Ford 3cyl. gas. Motor overhauled in 2000, 200 hours on it since then, and two digging cylinders rebuilt then too. Rear tires are good, fronts are truck tires. He has had this machine approx 35 years. Said it was a 1963 model. Sheetmetal good, pins wore some, paint is old and faded. Machine has been inside last 20 years or so. We want to come to a price that is fair to both. What do you think of $5500? Thanks for any opinion you can offer.
