Check out an allis 7000, 7010, 7020, or 8010. These all are small block allis tractors (301 inline turbo 6, intercooled also on the 7020). They are 106 (7000, 7010, 8010) or 120 hp (7020). Very fuel efficient, inexpensive, reliable if maintained reasonably well, and plain simple for a tractor of their size. I got my late model cabbed 7000 with HD front end for 7500, looks like it has been shedded all of its life. I just have a couple of things to work out on it this summer and she will be like new. They are a little hard to find for sale (everyone wants to keep them). If you can find one, they are a great value. I might be doing some mowing for hire this summer when I get out of school with it and a 20ft batwing. They are also pretty heavy in the front, so you don't need much if any weight depending on the terrain. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions. Also, if you are looking to spend a little more money, the 10 series fords are great, you can't go wrong with them either, esp with the ol 8spd crash box, they are indestructable. Good luck Hurst

But, I want to talk about my tractor! We didn't even own a lawnmower, and all of a sudden we had enough grass to feed all the starving children of the bovine world. Naturally, I talked
