I had the chance to operate a 2-85 for several summers. In my opinion (for what it's worth) it's a good, stout solid tractor (basically a White-branded Oliver 1850). It had a 354 Perkins six cylinder with pretty good power and fuel economy (I pulled a 4-16" White plow with no lack of power). The platform was nice also- pretty open. We never had any problems with the tractor. Price- $9000 with a loader and 7500 hours seems high. I would pay $9000 for a very nice condition 2500 hour 2-85 in the midwest. Good luck whatever you decide, the 2-85 was a pretty good tractor.
