When I quit milking cows milk was in the $14 range and a single guy could make a nice living with 35 cows and have a little time to enjoy it. That was 25 years ago and times they are a changin' The chickens are gone, the pigs are gone, and now, the cows will soon be gone. I still make a living with a few beef cows on the range but their days are numbered and the next generation is going to find it lacking.
