there is no comparison between the 185 and a 966 for PTO work,The 185 has NO LIVE PTO and a poor on the go shift,plus sitting down in the middle straddling a transmission case.The only good thing is it will be half the price the 966.Now before being jumped on,Allis Chalmers NEVER HAD A TRUE LIVE PTO until the 7000 seris came out.So your answer is Money and what you can live with in convenience and comfort.
