Recently the Massey 35 developed a gas tank leak...it was out in the middle so I ran it (mowed) till the tank was low, took the tank off and it had been fibreglassed in a foot square area. I started peeling it off and grinding it off with a stiff electric wire brush and sanding disc till I found a 1" long crack. I cleaned it up bright and got the JB Weld 5 minute stuff and repaired the area around the crack and let it set overnight...so far, so good. I think if I remember right, fibreglass isn"t waterproof...thats why they put gelcoat over it when they build boats. Just my experiences and $.02 worth. Fred OH
