I bought the Grasshopper 721 with the Kubota diesel and 61" deck. Looking back, i'm glad i bought the diesel, as it has more torque when you need it, it burns waaaaay less fuel than a gas motor and will easily outlast any of the gas motors.

With fuel prices the way they are, diesel IS the way to go, even though it does cost you more now.

My GH with the mowing deck out front rides very good and as i have back problems it allows me to mow longer. Also i can get under bushes ect.. with that front deck...

If you don't get a diesel, you will wish you had later....
