Yes , folks you heard it right..I was invited to the Leroy Township Invitational Lawn Mower demolition derby..It was a hoot!!! All the participants were of consenting age [ low 20's].There were pipe frames , angle iron frames , cow catchers ,bumpers, You name it.Even some underhanded modifications [ wire to the governor , water filled rear tires ]. Some ran single cylinder engines , some ran sweet running twins..Some had stock gearing, others had pulley changes turning the average Craftsman lawn tractor into an outstanding performer , able to outrun and out manuver others..Altogether there was only one near fatality with a cut finger..I haven't laughed so hard in a long time..Maybe time for nationals on ESPN ???
