Being an independent mechanic I hear all the time from different customers or in trade magazines that this or that oil or grease is the best. I know there is some good stuff out there but in the end I take all of the hype with a grain of salt until I see actual proof of how it performs in real world service. We've got one customer that has used nothing but LE's oils and greases in his equipment for nearly 40 years and has never had a lubriation related failure. So, if you want the best oil around for gas or diesel engines, as well as the best grease out there check into Lubrication Engineers. We recently tore down a 3306 CAT engine out of his 235 excavator that had been run nearly every day for twelve years digging and loading trucks in his gravel pit. The problem with it was electrolosis had eaten a hole in two of the liners, other than that it ran like a top. We got her torn down and sent the crank off to be checked and ground or whatever it needed. They miked it out and the rods and mains all checked out as being standard, no grinding, polishing, nothing needed. Dad said in over 30 years of being a mechanic and building engines, including a few at a dealership where that's all he did, he'd never seen one come in standard like that...especially after twelve years of hard use. Like I said the customer had been using nothing but LE oil in the engine since it was build twelve years ago. I've got other examples of how good their stuff is but if that's not a testament to how good their oil is then I don't know one. Usually I'm skeptical when someone says "our stuff is the best" but in the case of LE, I've never seen better.
