Woods Mower

My 6 ft. woods mower had a disc attached to the center of the blade. They call it a stump jumper. It got beat up real bad and I took it off. Do these things do much good. I don't see many stumps, but I do see a lot of rocks in some fields. The new part is around 100.00, if I want to replace it. Stan
