Well now fella"s. I did it this way. Just before seeding the alfalfa I went over the ground with a springtooth. My alfalfa seeder was an old Dempster drill and had no seed tubes or furrow openers. I chained a 4by4 behind the seeder. When I was done seeding I harrowed the seed in. I had towchains tied on behind the harrow. After that I was talked into using a packer on the field. Best stand of alfalfa I ever had plus I got alot of seat time. I put on about 7#"s seed/acre. steveormary
