We were harvesting in the Sterling Co. area a couple of weeks ago and I can testify to how dry it is there. I'm glad to hear you are getting some rain. Hope the rain makes it's way to NW Iowa really soon. The local newspaper claims our june was as dry as the dust bowl days. The corn and beans in the sandy soil are really suffering but generally we are looking pretty good. If we have many more days like today the crops in the good soil will start to show the stress too. Temp today is 97 with a 20 mph wind. A week ago a little area that lies just three miles from me had 2 1/2 inches of rain and I had .15". Jim
