not familar with Owatona setup, but normal connections for solenoid to start engien would be a hot lead to + side of battery, and a ground to negative side of battery. The switch would either go form + side of battery to a third lead on solenoid, or form ground to third lead of solenoid, dependign on type solenoid. Note, you need 2 switches with this set up. One to operate the starting solenoid, and a seperate one for ignition, unless you have a key swithc that performs both functions. Another possibility is a push to start button mounted on the contorl panel somewhenre.
