I'd definitely get in there and plow it under as soon as you could. Depending on what you've had for moisture, it's not too late to get some timothy going yet. A moldboard plow with some good coulters is gonna be the key to getting that old stuff completely turned over...hit it with the disc until you have an acceptable seed bed...and after that it's just the drill and the cultipacker. We turned one field upside-down just a month ago that was in the same condition. I hope you have some moisture to go with that seed...we got 4 and 7/10ths yesterday. I haven't seen it rain so steady all day like that in a few years. Good luck! Billy
