Steel tubing or rubber hoses for loader?

I was looking at some loaders mounted on a tractor I have and saw some had metal tubing opposed to rubeer. I know that metal will last longer and not bust, but is it worth it. I'm planning to sell the tractor so don't really care about 5 years from now when it needs to be replaced. Just curious on what y'all think. Paul
