back surgery

hi. my ten year old grand daughter had back surgery this morning. they fused three vertabreas together in her lower back,lumbar. they screwed two rods,one on each side. she was born with it,they didn't all develope. if one would have slid off of the other it would have done a lot of nerve damage. she is in Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines Ia. she is doing good. charley hellickson.
