No Claas is not owned by Agco, I do not think Claas are owned by anyone! I think we are getting to the stage whereby all tractors are beginning to look alike. All but the very largest Claas tractors use John Deere Engines, the largest the "Atles" range use Deutz. They seem to be a very tough tractor from reports that I hear. The Renaults were very good indeed, but the "White flag " remark reminded me of what one farmer said to me when he saw mine "I would buy one tomorrow if they were not French!" a stupid remark really because a lot of MF tractors that were (and indeed are, with the closure of the Coventry factory) made in France. Now Renaults are called Claas it seems to have really improved sales! "That which we call a rose...."
