I used to mow the ditch across the road from my house. It just made my house look better. The guy that owned that hayfield hired someone to mow around the edges of the field this year so I went out there and showed him what all to mow. And of course I showed him the ditches that get mowed. I keep another section of property mowed that isn't ours. It is down along the river and it just looks better if I keep it mowed. Since gas hit nearly $3/gallon I quit mowing all of it. Just mow what's easy now. This year I fenced off a large part of our 3 acres and opened the gate to my neighbors cows. Those cows have saved me a bunch of gas money. And his cows need the grass. He supplied all the fence materials and I did all the work. So far it has worked out great for both of us. Pooh Bear
