The best working cleaner I have found believe it or not is Bakery Grease. They bakeries give it away in 3 gal buckets around here. It takes off paint, tar, grease, oil, anything. And the best part is, is it smells like mini donuts! I use it in the shop all the time, just use the grease, then go in the house and use regular hand soap and your hands will be perfect.
