My Buddy bought a brand new BUSHHOG BRAND bushhog last summer to mow His CRP ground. The ground has some really steep slopes so He's not setting any speed records normally and His D-17 Allis diesels have all they want to run the thing normally... He's shopping for a D-19 diesel or 190XT now.... For only 10 acres I'd get a 6 ft cutter and a tractor in the 35-40 HP range... I've mowed thousands of acres with a pull-type 6 ft BRILLION cutter pulled with a Super H FARMALL.... It would cut off anything I cared to drive over.... and if it was dry enough and not too tall the field looked like a golf course when I was done.
