I have used Gates brand belts for years, but this summer I have been having a lot of probelms with them. I broke a new one on my Mott flail, and the replceemtn only ran aobut 3 hours and started rolling out of the pulleys (normal life on them previously has been 2 to 3 years). On my rider, the new one i put on this spring broke last month. In 19 years for the flail and 9 years for the riding mower I have never broken a belt till now. I posted this same comment on another forum, and found I am not the only one having problems with new Gates belts, and was wondering if anyone on here is having similar problems.
