purple loosestrife

Purple loosestrife appeared on my property. So far, its just isolated clusters around ponds and ditches which I have been pulling up by hand. But like other invasive plants I'm sure it will overwhelm my meager efforts soon. (My property is already home to widespread thickets of multiflora rose, autumn olive and european buckthorn.) I'm just wondering how other property owners are handling the purple menace. Are you pulling it, spraying it with Roundup, or already giving up?
