23 years ago I was bush hogging on a Ford Major early on a Saturday morning, about the time I thought the family would be up and about I drove back to the house for breakfast. My 7 year old daughter came running out to meet me about 100 yards from the house.I stopped and picked her up,she stood on the axel housing and held on to the fender and me.The bush hog was down and the pto off. When we got almost to the house her feet, wet with dew, slipped off the axel housing and down she went.I just reached and grabbed somehow catching her by the ankle and lifted her upside down to my lap in one motion.I almost killed her but for the pure luck of catching that ankle. Blades were not turning is no comfort for doing such a stupid thing, she would have probably died from being run over by it.
