Different people would have different theories. Mine is "Cash talks". I think that if a person comes in and looks and talks as if they could get the haggled price within an hour, sure, I would deal some. But if someone came in and told me they cant afford it, and I felt that I was going to be standing there for an hour trying to help this person out financially then no. I'm a nice guy but not that nice. I want to see the cash or a sign off it. Sort of like a bank manager, what do you have? Is this going to be a waste of time for me to stand here haggling? Different sales people will be different but if it was me that were selling, if I thought they can back their words with cash then sure, I'll play the game and dicker some. If I thought I was wasting my time then I would go back to the house in a couple of minutes.
