Your right Don if you rake when its too dry.

You gotto be careful about that.

And that is another reason for me switching to a wheel rake.

But in grass hay it don't matter.

Also you can slow down since your taking two swathes and you still rake faster.

I found that speed causes more leaf loss than rolling it a couple more times.
