Patience and respect for the owner will pay off here. That is how I got my Dad's H back... called the guy who bought it from him in the 70's about 5 years ago wanting to buy it from him. "Not for sale, still need it to mow ditches, etc. I'll let you know when I'm ready to sell." I called about once a year after that (when I actually had the $$ on hand to buy it) and got the same answer. I always ended the conversation with, "Please let me have first chance at buying when you are ready." Happen to see the guy this last spring and he says, "still want to buy that H?" Heck yes! Took a while to arrive at a price, but it's mine now. Good luck!
