-Got somethin to say to everybody tonight. Consumer Reports June 06 edition rates exterior paints in a 9 year test and says: The top 10 starting with best are: 1. California fresh coat velvet flat 2. Glidden Endurance semigloss 3. Pratt & Lambert Accolade eggshell 4. Glidden Endurance semigloss 5. Glidden spred-dura gloss 6. Glidden spred-dura satin low luster 7. Sico supreme flat 8. Glidden Endurance flat 9. Pratt & Lambert Accolade semigloss 10. Glidden spred dura flat Glidden #s 4, 5 and 10 are "best-Buys" meaning best performance to price ratio. And no I don't work for glidden. I used to paint for a living back in the mid-80's and glidden then was watery and covered poorly. We used benjamin moore. When building my house 3 years ago (I did all the painting) I was unpleasantly suprised by Ben Moore. Come to find out it actually only rates as high as #19.
