I'm a dog lover,but believe dogs to be the most pampered animals on earth,aside from stock dogs,hunting,and guard dogs,those that work for a living.I would not hesitate to apply the eye for an eye rule when one misbehaves this way.Kill ole Buster in Pete's presence if possible,and tell him "I know what to do with a bad dog".A neighbor down the road had 5 dogs that were mean and worthless,Pit Bulls,he is a OTR trucker whose family didn't always keep them penned when he was away.They jumped our 12 year old Spitz on our property and chewed him up.He lived a week after $175 in Vet bills.It took a month for me to kill them all,he came by and asked if I'd seen them,I told him what they did and what I did.He offered to pay the $175,but never has.
