I worked for an equipment dealer in a major"city" and we got robbed constantly, we had state of the art alarms, cameras, double thickness safety glass, and chained and locked all machines to no benefit. I was working late one night and heard there was a shooting near my location. The very next morning I started the rumor I had shot an intruder. I meant only to keep my coworkers from harrassing me for not catching the thiefs. What happened was the rumor spread through the community and we were never robbed again.I dont know of legalities and this was not my intention but it did work. Good luck though.
