I got back from the search Staurday. In retrospect, I"m kind of glad he surrenderd. There are enough people who would have thought we killed him regardless of what he was doing- surrendering or fighting- that it is best this way. The outpouring of support is very nice. It"ll last till the tickets start getting issued again. As for the young man who was shot while dragging a Trooper behind his ATV, well, the courts will have to figure that one out. A lot of tragedy in this whole issue.
