OT - Electric cattle fence question

Greetings. I have about 20 acres fenced in (so far) for beef pasture with high-tensile woven wire fence which is NOT electrified. The 20 acres are further subdivided with permanent woven fence lines. I did not really want to electrify it except now I want to be able to further subdivide the areas for more intensive grazing. Here is the question: is there a way to string up temporary electric lines which are easily movable without having to electrify the whole perimeter? Traditionally one would simply take power off the perimeter wire but I"d rather not have to do that. I"ve also seen some folks actually power their energizers with car batteries - I would think the batteries would go dead fairly soon. Thanks in advance for all replies.
