Be nice. Roger in Iowa is trying to help. Even tho the fuel pump is "new" does not mean it is not faulty. Also if it is carberated you could have a bad needle/seat allowing an overload of fuel - thus diluting the oil with gasoline. How often do you check the oil? If this is the first you have checked it since you put the new pump on maybe it's been filling the crankcase with gasoline since. You have a gasoline problem more than a ring problem. Now go ahead and apologize to Roger and smell the roses. Hope this helps! bob farrell
