580ck diesel wont start

I have a 1971 case 580 diesel i cant get it to start i was driving it it started to become slugish so i shut it off thinking i was low on fuel i added more fuel it did not start from there so i changed primary,and secondary filters seemes to be getting fuel to injectors after bleeding system it turns over smokes like it is firing i have a new battery so it is turning over fine just wont starti dont know if it could be a electrical problem or what any help would be greatly appreciated thanks Jon
