Gary, like Mr. Goodwrench says. "Fix it now, or fix it later" And you know when later will be. Next year when you're in the middle of harvest. I'm with Cowman, I think that sickle don't owe you anything. I remember having to get the header down in the dirt to get the beans that were there, and in the middle of the night with the dust on the cab winder and the wind blowing and the lights reflecting off everything it's sometimes a plain feat to keep that header off the ground.
