The only place you can get diesel into the crankcase on that engine is a seal on the injection pump. All the other pipes are mounted on the outside including the leakoff pipe. It might be possible for it to bleed through the intake manifold if you have a cols start fitted but I would be 98% certain it is the injection pump. The lift pump is mounted on the injection pump on that model. DO NOT RUN THE ENGINE! It can fire on diese/oil mixture that gets by the pistons and rev to distruction in a couple of minutes! I have seen this happen. Its a very quick way to get the rods outside the block through a big hole!
