OT: 1086 Manual

I realize this topic might be better suited elsewhere, but I'm not too certain where. I have an IH 1086. The wiring was a royal mess when I got it about 10 years ago. Now it appears to have degenerated into some sort of electrical problem that runs the batteries dead nightly. It's not the alternator; that's been checked out (in particular, the diode bridge.) But we read a 4vdc drop across the battery cables with the ignition switch off. Clearly something is awry. I have a book for this tractor, but it lacks a wiring diagram. I'd like to rewire this tractor into something sane, but I like to know what I'm putting in and why. Thanks!
