What amazes me is that 70+ years ago, simple folk who had not been born into an electronic era could follow directions, order parts, and build and operate rather complicated radios. Not to mention mule farmers learning to install breaker points. Nowadays, most folks are so removed from actually building or repairing anything on their own, it is unbelievable!
