Hey now! I might be able to add something useful to a post! I have CT, and use the elastic and velcro braces from the pharmacy - when I sleep. It helps most times. If I forget, I wake up in the middle of the night just about ready to scream. This is my cheap fix for now. My brother started the same way (and Dad) with the braces, but finally had the surgery done - 4 hours away from home. He had both wrists done at the same time, which the doctor said was ridiculous, but did it anyway. My brother said his wife stopped to let him go to the bathroom along the road. When he was done, he had to yell to her to come help him "finish up" because his hands wouldn't work. They work great now and he never complains of any pain. I'd say go for it, one hand at a time. Best of luck, Bill
