It takes a big man to do such in public, but it is worth it. So many relationships between family members are estranged, sometimes permanantly, because one of the people is too proud to admit anything or even work it out. I live in NC, but if you remember I recently was in Lincoln, NE on my way to eastern CO to get my grandpa's plow. I passed within a quarter mile of my aunt and uncle's house east of Lincoln but didn't stop because they have hard feelings toward me over my divorce and remarriage. I have written letters and called in the past till I was blue in the face to rectify the situation but to no avail. It was a sad day to drive a thousand miles and have to drive right past their house....
