You don't know IH's very well do you??? The IH model 1468, made from 1971-1974; and the IH model 1568, made from 1974-1976; were both V-8 Diesels, so yes it is possible that they found an 8-cylinder pump at a tractor dealer. With the right people, time and money, anything is possible.
