No, but when you throw it on the fire, that will! Actually I don't think the cold will do it. I have split wood with insects in it, but I don't bring it in the house until it's needed in the fire or will be in the next hour. I only stack a wheelbarrow load or two next to the house so there's less chance of them getting into the house. My main stack is out back of the machine shed.
