We got dumped on tonight in Michigan by a really hard rain. Ended up being about 1 inch and now it is pretty cold and windy out there. I went to Grand Rapids tonight to see a concert and stood out in rain with about 4000 people to see Buckcherry and Crossfade. It took us a long time to get inside the building. They take so long to frisk everbody and use a metal detector on each person. Great show though. When we got out water was very deep on the streets and sidewalks. Really came down. I am sure glad we got out 99% of our beans last week. We really had to mud one of the fields out but I think now it was a good idea. We may go back in after a hard freeze and try to get about the last acre in the really wet spots or maybe just leave it for the pheasants and turkeys, and deer. Beans were really good in that field standing in the mud. Less stress now that most of them are at the elevator. They were paying $4.98 a bushell when we started hauling them and $5.98 about a month later when we did the wetter field.
