My Dad had an old D6 8U for several years, gave $4750 for it and sold it about 15 years later for $5000 rebuilt the under carrage once had to do some work in the rear end a couple of times, I beleive he had to overhaul the pony once.

Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation.
