I will be 65 in 15 days, was raised in a family that did not hug or tell people we loved them, both sides Mom and Dad. I don't remember my Mom hugging me after I was 8 or 9. She will be 91 in Dec, and lives next door we hug regulary now and I tell her I love her. I only remember telling my Dad I loved him and hugging him onced just before he went into surgery, of which he only lived 16 days after and could not comunate, sure glad I did. I have lightened up a bunch over the years. When my wife dided 3 years ago at visitation 85% of the women hugged me two men one was my boss we are very good friends and one other friend. At the funeral a man that I considered a very good friend 21 years my senior, and now gone went by me as the people went by the casket, leaned over and hugged me and that was when I lost it. Vic told me later I just had to do it, when he was younger he drank enought booze to float a ship always had a half smoked cigar in his mouth, and drove a stock car until in his fifties, died from cancer at 83. One of the few non family people I really do miss, he and one of my Uncles were best friends since they were boys, my Uncle died last year. Now Hugh Mackay if I ever get to meet you am I going to hug you He!! no you will get a hand shake. Jim
